Is Iconic a certified dog behaviorist?
We are balanced-method trainers who specialize in behavior modification. “Behaviorist” is not a protected title in California. If your dog needs a board-certified veterinary behaviorist (DACVB) for a medical or diagnostic reason, we will tell you and refer you. For behavior change through training, that is our daily work.
Do you come to Rancho Park, or do I bring my dog to you?
We come to you. Sessions happen in your home and on the streets and parks you use, from the Pico sidewalks to the blocks near the Westwood/Rancho Park station. No travel fee inside our West LA coverage.
How much does it cost?
The first in-home assessment is $100. Full programs run $1,000 to $4,000, with the exact figure written down after we see your dog.
My dog is reactive on Pico. Can that actually be fixed?
In most cases, yes, with the right plan and your daily practice. Leash reactivity on busy corridors is one of the most common things we work on here. It takes real repetition in the real spot, which is why we train on those sidewalks and not in a quiet studio.
Do you handle aggression or biting?
We handle many bite and aggression cases. If the dog is a serious danger to people in the home, or the behavior appeared out of nowhere, we ask you to see a veterinary behaviorist first to rule out a medical cause, then we build the training plan around it.
How fast will I see change?
Some behaviors shift in the first week or two. Deeper fear and aggression take longer. We reach a high level of obedience in the least time the dog can handle, and we do not pad a program with sessions you do not need.
